Imagen
Composition 1 Jennifer Espinoza In this essay I going to explore about Homeopathy, a widely practiced form of alternative medicine, was developed in the late 18th century by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann. It is based on the principle of "like cures like," which suggests that substances causing symptoms in a healthy individual can, when highly diluted, treat similar symptoms in a sick person. Despite its global popularity, particularly in regions like Europe, India, and Latin America, homeopathy remains one of the most debated forms of alternative medicine, with ongoing discussions about its efficacy and scientific validity. First, homeopathy lies in two key:"like cures like" and the concept of potentization. The former is the idea that a substance causing certain symptoms can be used in a very diluted form to treat those same symptoms (Bell, 2019). Potentization, on the other hand, involves a process of serial dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking) to pre...

Entry#8 The benefits and challenges writers face every day.

Jennifer Espinoza  Composition 1 The article mentions that when you read as a writer (RLW), you work to identify the choices the author has made to better understand the writing. This involves looking closely at what you read, looking at the writing techniques to decide if you want to adopt similar (or the same) techniques in your writing. The article refers to reading to learn to write, rather than reading for content or to better understand the ideas in the text. In my personal opinion to become a good writer you should focus on the techniques to adapt it to your style, learning to read like a writer will help you to become a good writer using the appropriate concepts and techniques.

Entry#6 “Causes and Effects of Global Warming”

To begin with, the average global temperature has been increasing in recent years, which is natural, but natural causes cannot explain all the warming that has been occurring. It is worth mentioning that recent global warming is mainly due to humans releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, for example. The burning of forests, rice cultivation and livestock raising produce this effect, which will have consequences in the coming years. such as intense storms, increased droughts and high temperatures. Personally I believe that each of us could help improve this situation by consuming less, reusing, repairing and recycling so with these small changes we would make a big difference since the planet is in danger and needs our help!
